A Hollow Section is actually a type of closed and hollow profile that has a square, rectangular, or circular cross-section. This profile is mainly used for making doors, windows, and building structures.

This Product can be made of various materials such as aluminum, steel, PVC, etc., but what is most commonly used in the industry is iron hollow sections. Iron profiles have high weldability and can be easily shaped. At the same time, they have high strength.

In another classification, This Product is divided into light and heavy categories. The heavy profiles that are produced both industrially and for construction have a greater thickness, and their section is rectangular or square. Light profiles, made with thinner sheets, are mainly produced using the cold rolling method and are called furniture profiles.

Hollow Sections are further divided into three categories: Square Hollow Section (SHS), Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS), and Circular Hollow Section (CHS), based on the shape of their cross-section.

Square Hollow Section (SHS)

SHS is a structural steel profile with a square cross-section and a hollow interior. It is made from steel coils through a manufacturing process that includes slitting, forming, welding (for hot rolled SHS), and finishing.

Finished SHS is widely used in construction and engineering for applications such as structural supports, building frames, architectural designs, fences, machinery, and equipment. It offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and aesthetic appeal, with a wide range of sizes and finishes available to suit different project needs.

Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS)

RHS is a structural steel profile with a rectangular cross-section and a hollow interior. It is made from steel coils through a manufacturing process that includes slitting, forming, welding (for hot rolled RHS), and finishing.

RHS is a versatile and cost-effective material commonly used in construction and engineering for applications such as building frames, infrastructure, architectural design, fencing, machinery, equipment, and storage racks. Choosing the size and thickness of the RHS depends on the structural requirements and specific loads for each application.

Circular Hollow Section (CHS)

CHS is a structural steel profile with a circular cross-section and a hollow interior. It is made from steel coils through a manufacturing process that includes forming, welding (for hot-rolled CHS), and finishing.

CHS is widely used in construction and engineering for applications such as structural support, piping, railings, bridges, and architectural design. It offers strength, and versatility, and is commonly used in various load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures. The choice of CHS size and thickness depends on the specific structural requirements for each application.

Asan Form Kimia Company is one of the prominent and well-known suppliers of all kinds of hollow sections in Iran.
